Tamilnadu Teacher Recruitment Eligibility Requirements
Educational Qualifications:
- At least 50% of the points in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) and a two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (under whatever name it may be recognized); (OR)
- A 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (under whatever name it may be called), in compliance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002, and Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% of the possible points; (OR)
- A minimum of 50% in Higher Secondary (or its equivalent) and a four-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.) degree are required; (OR)
- A two-year special education diploma and a higher secondary education diploma (or its equivalent) with at least 50% of the possible points; (OR)
- Graduation and a two-year elementary education diploma.
Additional Requirements:
- To be considered for direct recruitment, candidates must pass the Tamil Nadu Teacher Eligibility Test (TNTET) Paper I in the pertinent optional topic.
- Sufficient familiarity in Tamil, the state language.
Age Limit:
- As on July 1, 2024, the maximum age for General Category (UR) is 53 years old.
- Additionally, beginning of July 1, 2024, the maximum age restriction for candidates from Scheduled Tribes, Scheduled Castes, Backward Class Muslims, Backward Classes, MBC/DNC, and DW of all castes is 58 years old.

The following components make up the TN TRB Graduate Teacher BRTE 2023 Examination:
Part A: Mandatory OMR-Based Tamil Language Eligibility Test Objective Type:
- Only a qualifying exam is required for the Tamil Language Eligibility Test.

- There are 50 possible points in the test.
- The exam takes thirty minutes to complete.
- The test results will not be used to determine rankings.
Part B: Primary Subject (Objective Category):
