TNPSC Group IV 2024 Exam: Notification for Online Applications for 6244 VAO, Steno, Typist, and Assistant Posts – Advertisement No. 678, Notification No. 1/2024: In 2024, TNPSC will hold a joint Civil Service Examination. Applications are being accepted for 6244 Group 4 and VAO positions. Candidates who meet the requirements can now apply online for direct hiring into a variety of positions across the Tamil Nadu government’s departments and services. The online registration period for TNPSC Group IV 2024 starts on January 30, 2024, and finish on February 28, 2024.
TNPSC Group IV Exam Date 2024
On Sunday, June 9, 2024, as announced, the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) will conduct the Group IV (Group 4) Examination 2024. The exam is scheduled to start at 9:30 AM and end at 12:30 PM IST.

TNPSC Group IV Age Limit
- Minimum age requirement of 21 years and maximum age limit of 32 years for Forest Guard, Forest Guard with Driving Licence, Forest Watcher, and Forest Watcher (Tribal Youth) positions.
- For any other position: 18 years old minimum, 32 years old maximum.
- Age restriction as of July 1, 2024.
- Age relaxation: in accordance with laws in Tamil Nadu.

TNPSC Group IV Eligibility Requirements
- For TNPSC Group 4 positions in 2024, passing the Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) exam, earning a 10th class diploma, or matriculating are the required minimum educational qualifications.
- Bachelor’s degree in any field is required for the positions of steno typist, junior executive, private secretary, personal assistant, personal clerk, and milk recorder.
- Applicants should be sufficiently conversant in Tamil.
TNPSC Group IV Selection Process
The following steps were used in the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission’s Group IV selection process. The TNPSC holds the Group IV Exam this year in order to select candidates for various positions. Candidate’s written exam scores alone will be used to make the selection.

TNPSC Group IV Online Application
Only online applications through the TNPSC Commission website (tnpscexams.in) are accepted from eligible candidates. Before filling out the online application for the test, candidates must first register on the Commission’s website via the One Time Registration (OTR) platform. A registration cost of Rs. 150/-must be paid by the candidate in order to register on the One Time Registration form only once. A one-time registration that has been properly completed is good for five years after the registration date.
Scanned copies of the candidate’s ID, signature, and other documents must be uploaded during the One Time Registration process. To register for a one-time event, you must have a working mobile number and email address. The deadline for registering an online application is Wednesday, February 28, 2024, at 11:59 PM IST.
